Sylhet Office : Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith on Monday said BNP will lose its existence as a political party if it does not participate in the next general election.
The minister came up with the remarks after attending a meeting with government officials of the district at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
“No system can be more appropriate than the existing one for holding a free and fair election,” Muhith added.
About electricity supply, Muhith said, “The government has relentlessly been working to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply in Sylhet …now the district gets electricity what it exactly needs. So, the government officials concerned should lose their jobs if there’s any complaint from any consumer about the electricity supply here.”
Local political leaders, senior officials of the district and the police administrations were also present on the occasion.
