Banaj Kumar disclosed this information at a programme, held in capital’s Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) auditorium.PBI chief also said, “The investigation into the law suit, filed against Sonagazi police ex-officer-in-charge Moazzem Hossain on April 15, will take more time.”
He also said the PBI has applied for extension of time before the court.
The PBI has already seized the mobile phones, used by ex-OC Moazzem and his assistant sub-inspector (ASI).
The PBI, specialized unit of Bangladesh Police, is going to ask for highest penalty for the accused of the Nusrat Murder case.
Nusrat Jahan Rafi, an Alim-examinee from Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa in Sonagazi upazila of Feni, was set ablaze on April 6 allegedly for refusing to withdraw a case filed against the madrasa principal Siraj Ud Doula for sexually harassing her on March.
After fighting for her life for five days, Nusrat died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on April 10.
