Nearly 70 per cent work of Padma bridge completed: Quader

Quader came up the update while briefing journalists about the project’s progress at the Bridges Division around 11:00am.

The minister, however, said the main bridge structure has reached 76 per cent completion.Mentioning that the connecting road has been completed, Quader said; the river training is also progressing fast and over 55 per cent work has been completed.

The 13th span of the bridge will be installed with one or two days, the minister added.

The prime minister inaugurated the main bridge construction and river training work at Janjira in Shariatpur and Mawa in Munshiganj on December 12 in 2015.
