The UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce & Industry (UKBCCI), the leading umbrella business organisation, which aims to bring together and nurture successful British-Bangladeshi entrepreneurs in the UK and Bangladesh, is proud to announce the launch of its annual Business & Entrepreneur Excellence Awards 2019 and Gala Dinner, to be held on 6th October 2019, at the London Hilton Park Lane.
A prestige event in the annual business calendar, previous year’s awards event was highly successful, informative and enjoyable occasion, the recognising and celebrating the contribution of businesses to their local and the wider community, whilst at the same time covering a range of sectors and industries across the UK, Bangladesh and even internationally.
Founded by some of the most prominent and philanthropic members of the Bangladeshi community, including the Chairman of the UKBCCI, Iqbal Ahmed OBE DBA, and President Bajloor Rashid MBE, the organisation brings forth the knowledge and experience of these individuals to further enhance their aims and objectives for the benefit of the business community.
UKBCCI has developed a platform to assist in inspiring entrepreneurs and businesses by offering advice, sign posting, training and networking through seminars, and roadshows which are addressed and attended by key government ministers, departments, organisations, various chambers of commerce and personnel from both the UK and Bangladesh.
The organisation is renowned for its direct business to business links, programmes and projects. These not only build up confidence in new and existing businesses but also connect with them both in the UK and Bangladesh promoting bilateral trade and building upon the long standing relationship that is held between the UK and Bangladesh.
“The UKBCCI commenced its journey just five years ago and within that relatively short period it has established itself with fortitude and great respect, both within the UK and Bangladesh. Jointly publishing a publication with the Department for International Trade, Institute of Export. This was followed by the successful UKBCCI Trade Mission which took place in June 2019. We are pleased to be able to share our delight as our mission was declared a success both by the UK High Commission in Dhaka and the Bangladesh Government Departments along with the various Chambers of Commerce in the business sector,” said UKBCCI President Mr Bajloor Rashid MBE. “Our awards and Gala Dinner events attract the best nominees and were attended by over 800 guests from the business community along with MPs, VIPs and dignitaries, not only spread our name as an organisation further, it also showed that we are eager to celebrate what entrepreneurs in our community have to offer, whether in the UK or Bangladesh.”
