A union parishad chairman, who sustained injuries in a road accident in Kushtia on Friday morning, died at a hospital in the capital last night.
He breathed his last at Dhaka’s Square Hospital at around 10pm on Friday.Confirming the news, Ziaraakhi union parishad secretary Md Mahiuddin Sheikh said that a bus hit the motorcycle on which Youshup was riding to go to his workplace from behind at Alampur area on Kushtia-Jhenaidah highway, leaving him critically injured.
Later, locals rescued him and took him to Kushtia General Hospital, from which he was transferred to Dhaka’s Square Hospital.
