He disclosed the decision while speaking at a view exchange meeting with freedom fighters from the sub-committee on Liberation War affairs of Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions at BongoTaz auditorium in Joydebpur of Gazipur city.

The minister said, “The freedom fighters will be provided with their identity cards in January next year. Details regarding the facilities and services for the freedom fighters will be written down on the back of the cards.”Mozammel acknowledged that there is a little dissatisfaction among the freedom fighters over their monthly allowances.

“This (dissatisfaction over their allowances) shouldn’t be happened. This will be resolved in next year, when the nation will celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” he added.

Mozammel also informed that the role of freedom fighters and collaborators will be included in the school and college-level textbooks as well as syllabus of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination.
