Rail communication between Dhaka and northern districts of the country was snapped after five bogies of the Rangpur Express veered off the tracks at Ullapara upazila in Sirajganj on Thursday afternoon.
Confirming this to media, deputy assistant director of Sirajganj Fire Service and Civil Defense Abdul Hamim said, “Several units of the fire service reached the spot to conduct rescue operation and brought the fire under control.The accident took place near Ullapara Railway Station and no casualty has been reported so far, he said.
