The Foreign Minister was addressing a seminar titled ‘Implementation of SDGs in Bangladesh: Current Status and Future Prospects’ held at the Media Bazaar of Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city.
Additional Secretary (SDGs) at Prime Minister’s Office M Mokammel Hossain presented a paper at the seminar chaired by Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Chairman Dr Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad.
Economic Relations Division Additional Secretary Sultana Afroz and Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS) professional fellow Dr M Asaduzzaman also spoke there.
Dr Momen termed Bangladesh a country of innovation and said challenges related to financial, technological and social will not appear as barriers to SDGs implementation.
The speakers emphasised partnership between private and public sectors, South-South Cooperation and resource mobilisation to achieve the SDGs.
