“I am now better than the previous after my mother came here (at the President Park flat). She has been taking care of me very well. I want my mother stay with me like any other child, with special needs, wants. I can leave properties but can’t give up my mother,” he said.

Eric Ershad made the comment at a press conference at the President Park flat in the capital’s Baridhara area on Monday afternoon.He said, “I and my mother want to live together. My mother will stay with me as she is my sole and legal guardian not my uncle (current Jatiya Party chairman GM Quader).”

Eric Ershad also said he had filed a general dairy (GD) against his uncle with police seeking his security.

Eric alleged, “Here everybody wants my mother get out from the house (President Park flat).”

“I want to tell all, including my uncle (GM Quader) and Khaled shaheb (Major [rtd] Khaled Akhter, director of Hussain Muhammad Ershad Trust), clearly that I can give up properties if they want. But I can’t give up my mother,” he told newsmen.
