Renowned academic Professor Ajoy Roy passed away in a city hospital on Monday afternoon. He was 85.
Director of BIRDEM Hospital Brigadier General (Retd) Shahidul Haque Mollik confirmed this to media.Ajoy Roy, a former professor of Dhaka University, was admitted to the hospital on November 25 with fever and respiratory illness.
Later on the November 27, he was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital as his health condition deteriorated on that day.
