Child orator Rafiqul indicted in DSA case

A Dhaka court on Wednesday framed charges against child orator Rafiqul Islam Madani in a case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA) filed with Gazipur Police.

Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge Mohammad Assams Jaglul Hossain set February 22 for testimony framing charges.

On April 7 last year, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Rafiqul from his Netrakona village home on charge of delivering ‘anti state’ and ‘provocative’ statement.

RAB also seized four mobile phones from his possession at that time.

Later on April 8, the DSA case was filed with Gazipur Police Station against Rafiqul Islam Madani.

The 26-year-old Madani is known as ‘Shishu Bakta’ due to his small body size.
