Eight killed in Gopalganj road accident

Eight people were killed and 20 others injured in a three-way bus, private car and motorcycle collision at Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj district on Saturday.

The accident happened on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Milton Bazar area at about 11 am.

Police said a Maowa-bound bus from Khulna lost control and rammed into a private car coming from opposite direction. Instantly it hit a motorcycle, leaving eight dead on the spot and 20 others injured.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The death toll could go up, said Kashiani Police Station officer in-charge Masud Raihan.
