Ex-cricketer Akram Khan’s housemaid found dead

The body of the housemaid of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director and Head of Facilities Department Akram Khan was recovered from Mohakhali DOHS in the capital on Sunday night.

Deceased Sahida Akhter, 25, had been worked at Akram Khan’s house as housemaid for the last 13 years. Sahida hailed from Chattogram.

Getting a phone call around 11pm, Kafrul Police went to Road No 3 in DOHS, House no 157, and recovered the body, the police station SI Md Hasib confirmed.

Sahida’s body was found behind Akram Khan’s house, he added.

Akram Khan’s daughter found that the maid was not at home. Then she went out for serach and found the body behind their house, SI Hasib said quoting Akram Khan’s family.

An unnatural death case has been registered in connection with the incident.

The body has been kept at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue.
