Habiganj Agricultural University celebrates its anniversary

The third foundation anniversary of Habiganj Agricultural University was celebrated with colorful arrangements on Sunday.

On this occasion, a colorful procession brought out from the academic building-1 premises of the university at 10 am on Sunday.

The students of Agriculture, Fisheries Science, Livestock and Veterinary Faculty participated with colorful festoons, agricultural equipment. The university Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Baset, teachers, officers and employees of various faculties of the participated in the procession. The procession circled around the premises of the temporary student hall of the university and ended in front of Academic Building-1.

After that, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Baset formally inaugurated the anniversary celebrations by flying pigeon and balloons as symbols of peace. Then he cut the foundation anniversary cake in front of the stage set up on the campus.

The VC later inaugurated the inter-university photo exhibition organized by Habiganj Agricultural University Students Welfare Association at 11 am. Photos of 26 photographers of the university were featured at the day-long photography exhibition.

‘Farmers Support Services’ established at the university campus was inaugurated at around11:30 am. In this, the people of Habiganj including farmers, farmers will get consultation services, diagnosis and medical services related to agriculture, fisheries and veterinary medicine. The Vice-Chancellor then inaugurated the low-cost photocopying and printing services and newly added computers for the students in the Central Library of the university and the practice cricket ground built on the campus and the sports room with table tennis, carrom, ludu for the temporary student hall.
