1,151 platoons of BGB deployed across the country

A total of 1,151 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed across the country, including 32 in the capital and adjacent districts, to maintain law and order situation ahead of national polls.

BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam confirmed the matter on Friday.

BGB have been deployed across the country, including the capital, to maintain peace and order to make the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections free, fair and peaceful, the official said.
