The High Court on Thursday will also not hold the hearing on the writ seeking directive to stop firing on demonstrators and to release of six coordinators from DB custody.
As Justice SM Masud Hossain Dolon, the junior judge of the bench, has been on leave due to physical illness since Wednesday, the hearing will not be held.
The hearing was scheduled to be held to pass an order on the petition by the HC bench of Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice SM Masud Hossain Dolon.
Earlier on Monday (July 29), Supreme Court lawyers Manzur Al Matin and Aynun Nahar Siddika filed a writ petition seeking the immediate release of the six coordinators of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement from DB custody.
The petitioners also sought a directive from the bench prohibiting law enforcers from firing on students during demonstrations.
Senior lawyer Barrister Sara Hossain, Aneek R Haque, Adv ZA Khan Panna and Adv Manzur Al Mtin Pritom appeared for the petitioners, while Attorney General AM Amin Uddin, Additional Attorneys General SM Munir, Sheikh Mohammad Morshed and Mohammad Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury represented the state.
