Ex-MP Mazharul Islam Suzon arrested in Dhaka

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested former Thakurgaon-2 constituency lawmaker Mazharul Islam Suzon from the Nikunja area of the capital on Wednesday on charges of extortion and death threats.

RAB Media Wing Assistant Director ANM Emran Khan acknowledged the matter and said a team of RAB-1 arrested him from the Nikunja area.

It could not be known immediately in which case he was arrested.

RAB-1 sources said that the detailed information in this regard would be disclosed later.
