Bengali movie “Mike” screening in East London, crowd swells

An exclusive screening of the critically acclaimed international award-winning Bengali film “Mike,” produced by FM Shaheen and directed by Hasan Zafrul and FM Shaheen, was held at the Genesis Cinema Hall in East London, dedicated to and under the overall supervision of Diaspora 71.
The event takes place on Sunday (April 27) from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Before the start of the movie, the organizers said that through the children’s film ‘Mike’, the young generation will be able to learn about the history of independence, including Bangabandhu’s March 7 speech. At the same time, ‘Mike’ will play an important role in highlighting the liberation war and the correct history of Bangladesh.

The organizers dedicated the screening of this film in London to the nation’s best children, the heroic freedom fighters of 1971.
After the screening of the film in East London, journalist Jewel Raj, one of the organizers of Dyspada 71, told the Bangla Mirror news, “We are trying to show this film to the British audience.”
At that time, British Bengali cinema expert Dr. Mohammad Rezaul Karim, who was leaving London after watching this movie, told Bangla Mirror news – Watching Bengali cinema in a foreign land is no greater pleasure. Thanks to those who organized it. The hope is that such good films will be shown abroad, and that the Bengali language and culture will spread abroad.

It is worth noting that the film “Mike”, produced by FM Shaheen and directed by FM Shaheen and Hasan Zafrul, is screened with English subtitles, so British and Bangladeshi viewers in addition to Bengali speakers enjoy this movie.
Many people have been seen bringing family members and children to Britain to watch Mike, a full-length children’s film with English subtitles, filmed entirely on rural locations.
The full-length children’s film ‘Mike’ was produced with a grant from the Bangladesh government.
The movie ‘Mike’ stars prominent actors Tariq Anam Khan, film actor Ferdous Ahmed and actress Tanveen Sweety, actors Nader Chowdhury, Jhuna Chowdhury, Joyita Mahalanbish, Sangeeta Chowdhury, Rahim Suman, Iqbal Hossain, child artist Sanjid Rahman Khan, among others.
