Regarding the objectives and reasons of the bill, the Law Minister said, Legal Aid Officer has been given the legal capacity to settle dispute with legal aid officer working in the local jurisdiction of any court or tribunal in the alternative way. ‘
Referring to the need to amend the Civil Law to implement the said clause, the minister further said, “The legal aid officer needs to empower the court to dispute a dispute to settle disputes in alternate ways.
So, if necessary, the Legal Practitioners will be assisted by the Legal Aid Officer to settle the disputes between themselves on the basis of mutual understanding in negotiation or arbitration procedure. “
