One held with arms in Sylhet

Golapgonj Police have arrested a person in possession of a firearm and two round of ammunition from Asirgonj bazar area of Sylhet district.

The arrestee is Dulal Ahmed, 28, son of Oaris Ali of Bagla village in Golapgonj upazila. Golapgonj OC Fozlul Haque Shibli said: ‘Acting on a tip-off, a team conducted a drive around 5pm on Sunday and arrested Dulal in possession of a pistol.”

Dulal was produced before the court and sent to jail on Monday morning, added the OC .
