All-rounder Mahmudullah expressed his disappointment after rain again spoiled the third successive day’s match of the second and final Test of National Polymer two-match Test Series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNSC) at Mirpur.
He was talking to the pressmen on Sunday at the conference room of SBNSC at Mirpur, reports BSS.
“It’s really very frustrating that rain has spoiled our play for a third successive day… no matter what will be the result of the match and how we play good or bad…we have come to play here. But it’s really sad that rain did not allow us to finish the match after the first days play.”
Asked to comment whether you support of hosting cricket in the full monsoon season as it’s the first time in cricket history the board hosted tournament Mahmudullah said: “It’s up to the board’s decision of hosting tournament in monsoon, but my personal opinion is I want to play cricket round the year. As I am a cricketer, so I want to remain busy with cricket.”
When asked about their last day’s (Monday) plan the all-rounder said it’s not possible to say right now, if everything goes alright Monday, then the team management would take the decision before start of the play.
