Former students of Madan Mohan College Sylhet residing in the UK celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of the College on 20th march 2016 at the Royal Regency, East London.
Madan Mohan College is one of the oldest colleges of Bangladesh established in 1940 and is still a very popular and a respected educational institution. Because of historical links with the UK hundreds of its former student’s now live in the country.
The reunion was chaired by the Convener Amir Hasan Chowdhury with guests local MP Stephen Timms and Minister for Press at Bangladesh High Commission Nadeem Qadir. Others who addressed the gathering were Joint convener, M Shahjahan Ahmed, Mohammed Sawkat, Member Secretary Mohammed Junedur Rahman Juned, A S M Misbah and Mohammed Jamal Ahmed khan of Madan Mohan College Re-Union 2016 Organising Committee UK amongst many others.
Friends, supporters and former students of Madan Mohan University College celebrated the glorious past of the institution with a grand lunch and musical programme. It was an opportunity to reconnect with their nostalgic past and a trip down the memory lane.
