President Shahabuddin’s election preocess legal, lawyer fined Tk 1 lakh

The Appellate Division on Thursday upheld the High Court order that dismissed the writ challenging the legality of the process of election of Mohammad Shahabuddin as President of Bangladesh.

The court also fined the writ petitioner Tk 1,00,000.

An eight-member Appellate Division bench led by Hasan Foez Siddique passed the order.
Lawyer M A Aziz was fined Tk 1,00,000 as he filed an illogical writ.

Attorney general A M Amin Uddin was in the court on behalf of the state.
