4.5 magnitude quake jolts Sylhet, other parts of Bangladesh

An earthquake of 4.5 magnitude jolted Bangladesh on Friday morning.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department confirmed the information.

The quake was felt in several parts of the country around 10:46 am, BMD reported.

The epicentre of the earthquake was located around 23 km southeast of Sylhet, at a depth of 10 km, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

People took to social media to report the jolt all across the country.

No damage was reported at the time of filing this report.
