BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital as her health condition deteriorated early Sunday.
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP’s media cell, said “Suddenly, Khaleda Zia felt ill at her Gulshan residence at an early hours. Later, she started for the Evercare Hospital at about 1:15am by her personal car and reached the hospital around 3:30am. After conducted some health tests, her medical team members advised to admitted her at coronary care unit (CCU).”
The BNP chief was admitted to Evercare Hospital on March 13. She returned to her Gulshan residence the next day after undergoing a health check-up.
The 79-year-old Khaleda Zia has long been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and issues related to kidneys, lungs, heart, and eyes.
