AI takes big stage in T20 World Cup coverage

Spectators will witness a transformed and groundbreaking cricket broadcast experience during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies.

According to a press release issued by the ICC, the initiative will be fulfilled by the AI-powered technology.

For the first time, fans will experience an AI-supported vertical feed, designed specifically for mobile viewing. Developed in collaboration with Disney Star, Quidich Innovation Labs, and NEP, this 9:16 aspect ratio feed aims to engage casual fans with a more intuitive and accessible viewing experience.

In addition to this innovative format, ICC TV will provide comprehensive coverage of all 55 matches, featuring pre- and post-match analysis, innings interval programs, and a star-studded commentary team.

Legends like Ravi Shastri, Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop, and Mel Jones will lead the panel, joined by former T20 World Cup winners like Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik, and Carlos Brathwaite.

Beyond live matches, ICC TV will produce a wealth of non-live content, including player profiles, team features, and behind-the-scenes footage, bringing fans closer to the action. With cutting-edge technology and a dynamic commentary lineup, ICC TV is set to deliver an unparalleled viewing experience for cricket enthusiasts worldwide.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, to be held in the USA and West Indies, will commence on 1st June and conclude on 29th June. The tournament will kick off with the host USA taking on Canada in Texas, and the final match is scheduled to take place in Barbados.
