Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (BTRC) has said that mobile internet services may be restored early next week.
Mohiuddin Ahmed, chairman of the organization, said on Friday that testing is still going on regarding the restore of mobile internet.
He said, the transmission lines and data centers that have been repaired, how the impact is and as the pressure on the mobile internet will be a little more, they are conducting tests, if everything is fine, the plan is to restore on Sunday-Monday.
The mobile internet service was stopped on July 17 due to the quota reform movement.
The next day, broadband internet was also shut down across the country. After five days, broadband internet was restored on a limited basis from last Tuesday night.
