Jubo League arrested in Sunamganj

Police on Wednesday arrested a Jubo League leader as part of the nationwide ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ from Shantiganj upazila in Sunamganj.

The arrested, Shahid Mia, 37, son of Hafizur Rahman, a resident of Terhal village, is an Education, Training and Library affairs secretary of the upazila unit Jubo League.

Confirming the matter, Shantiganj Police Station officer-in-charge Akram Ali Khan said that a team of police, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive in the area and arrested him.

He would be produced before a court in the district, the OC added.
