NID services suspended due to technical issue

National Identity Card (NID) services have been suspended temporarily across the country. The problem was created as no One-Time Passwords (OTP) were found to access the NID server.

For this, thousands of people are facing severe inconvenience.

Even though there is no disruption to the institutions receiving NID services, EC officials are unable to provide services.

ASM Humayun Kabir, Director General of the National Identity Registration Division, confirmed the matter to media on Tuesday (May 13).
