Iran has launched a series of missiles targeting Israel, according to a statement released by Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the attacks began early Friday morning and said defense systems had been activated to intercept the incoming projectiles.
In a statement issued Friday morning, Israel Defense Forces reported that missile sirens began sounding across various parts of the country at dawn, following a wave of missile launches from Iran.
IDF stated, “Since early Friday, air raid sirens have been heard throughout Israel due to continuous missile fire from Iran. Our defense systems have been deployed to counter the threat.”
As a precaution, Israeli authorities urged all citizens to immediately seek refuge in designated bomb shelters.
While IDF confirmed the ongoing nature of the attacks, the statement did not specify how many missiles had been launched or whether there were any casualties or damage reported so far.
The situation remains fluid, with Israeli defense forces on high alert and monitoring further developments.
