Bangladesh lose series decider by 99 runs to Sri Lanka

Bangladesh suffered a 99-run defeat against Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI at Pallekele, losing the series 2-1 after a poor batting display.

Having won the toss and opted to bat first, Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 285 for 7 in their allotted 50 overs.

Kusal Mendis led the charge with a commanding 124-run innings.

In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 186 in 39.4 overs, failing to build partnerships and crumbling under pressure in the series decider.

Despite levelling the series in second ODI, the Tigers couldn’t carry the momentum into the final match.
