14 held in Moulvibazar special police drive

Police arrested fourteen individuals, including a fugitive, during a special operation at Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar district.

Among the arrested were Rojob Ali, and Shipaur Rahman Shipon, a fugitive sentenced to one year in jail.

Kulaura Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Omar Faruk confirmed the matter in a press conference on Friday evening.

According to the OC, among those arrested, Rojob Ali was found with 65,000 sticks of Indian-imported cigarettes, a product banned in Bangladesh.

He also added that all detainees have been sent to jail through the court.
