New French envoy meets Mirza Fakhrul

Newly appointed French Ambassador to Bangladesh Jean-Marc Sere-Charlet met BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Thursday and discussed Bangladesh’s current political situation and the upcoming national election.

BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Joint Secretary General Humayun Kabir and Organising Secretary Shama Obaed were also present at the meeting.

Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, including the political situation, election preparations and investment in Bangladesh, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral and economic relations between Bangladesh and France in the future.

The hour-long meeting began around 12PM at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office.
