Mirza Fakhrul submits nomination for Thakurgaon-1

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has submitted his nomination paper to contest the 13th national parliamentary election from the Thakurgaon-1 constituency.

He handed over the nomination paper to Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Ishrat Farzana on Monday morning.

After submitting the nomination at the district administration office, Mirza Fakhrul said reporters, ”We achieved our voting rights after a long time. The people of Bangladesh want their voting rights restored. Give me chance to accelerate local development, improve the social environment, upgrade educational institutions, strengthen the socio-economic system, expand economic activities and ensure the fundamental rights of the people.”

Prior to submitting his nomination, Mirza Fakhrul joined a prayer at the district BNP office.
