
Bangladesh and Pakistan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations as the foreign affairs chiefs of the two countries held a telephone conversation to discuss cooperation and regional developments.
Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke by phone on Sunday, exchanging views on issues of mutual interest.
During the conversation, the two leaders reviewed the current state of Bangladesh–Pakistan relations and reiterated their shared resolve to enhance cooperation across a range of sectors, officials said.
They also discussed recent developments in Asia and the Middle East and agreed to maintain close contact in view of the evolving regional and global situation.
