‘Insulting our cricketer means insulting the country’

Regarding the recent exclusion of cricketer Mustafizur Rahman from the IPL, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that insulting our cricketers means insulting the country.

“I used to play cricket and was also a member of the board. There are international issues surrounding this cricket. Our country’s honor is associated with this cricket.”

Mirza Fakhrul made this remark while speaking to reporters in Thakurgaon at his village home on Monday morning.

“One of our cricketers has been dishonoured and we feel that our country has been dishonoured. Do we agree with the decision of the Cricket Board in this regard?”
