Nahid Islam casts vote in Dhaka-11

Nahid Islam, candidate of the 11-party alliance in Dhaka-11 constituency and convener of the National Citizen Party (NCP), cast his vote on Thursday morning.

He voted at AKM Rahmat Ullah University College centre in Beraid around 8am.

Several candidates are contesting the 13th national parliamentary election in the Dhaka-11 (Badda–Bhatara–Rampura) constituency. MA Kaiyum has been nominated by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), while Nahid Islam is contesting as the candidate of the 11-party alliance under the banner of the NCP.

Candidates from different parties are also in the race. The constituency has around 350,000 voters, including a significant number of men and women, who are expected to play a decisive role in selecting their representative.
