Fortis Healthcare hosts health discussion, iftar in Dhaka

A health-focused discussion and Iftar gathering was successfully organized last Tuesday at a hotel in Banani Model Town by Fortis Healthcare, one of India’s leading multispecialty hospital networks.

The discussion centered on enhancing access to advanced medical treatments through modern technology while ensuring affordability for patients. The initiative reflects Fortis Healthcare’s continued commitment to strengthening cross-border healthcare collaboration and improving medical accessibility for Bangladeshi patients.

The event brought together key stakeholders from the healthcare and medical tourism sectors. Among the distinguished attendees were Murad Imadi, President of the Bangladesh Medical Value Travel Association (MVT), and Lion Md. Firozul Islam, Chairman of the Medical Tourism Steering Committee of TOAB (Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh). Senior officials from various hospitals, renowned physicians, and prominent leaders from the health sector were also present.

The program concluded with a prayer session, followed by iftar and dinner, creating an opportunity for meaningful networking and collaboration among participants.

On behalf of Fortis Healthcare, Puja Chatterjee, who oversees operations in Bangladesh, played a pivotal role in organizing and coordinating the event. She reaffirmed Fortis Healthcare’s dedication to Bangladeshi patients, highlighting that they can access advanced treatment services at competitive costs across Fortis Hospitals located in major Indian cities, including New Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, among others.

The event marks another step forward in fostering stronger healthcare partnerships between Bangladesh and India, particularly in the growing field of medical tourism.
