Shama Obaed, British Trade Envoy Winterton reiterate ties

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam and UK Trade Envoy to Bangladesh Baroness Rosie Winterton reiterated their commitment to deepen the bilateral partnership between the two nations on Wednesday.

The leaders met at a dinner hosted by British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke. During the interaction, both sides emphasised strengthening cooperation across various sectors to enhance the long-standing relationship between Dhaka and London.

They discussed ways to expand trade and investment, reflecting a mutual interest in solidifying the Bangladesh-UK strategic bond.
