India is set to resume visa services for Bangladeshi nationals, including medical and business visas, from next week, according to the Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir.
Speaking to journalists at the Secretariat on Monday (13 April) after a meeting, Humayun Kabir said the decision has been agreed upon by New Delhi, marking a positive development in bilateral relations.
He said, “If there is a good mindset, relations between the two countries can move forward significantly in a positive direction.”
Kabir added that discussions also covered several bilateral issues of mutual interest, with both sides engaging constructively on outstanding concerns. He further noted that Bangladesh expressed gratitude to India for supplying diesel through pipelines.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Humayun Kabir visited New Delhi on a three-day trip, during which they held talks with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on a range of bilateral issues.
