A total of 4,457 Bangladeshi pilgrims have so far arrived in Saudi Arabia on 11 flights during the current Hajj season.
Of them, 1,246 travelled under government arrangements, while 3,211 went through private agencies.
On the second day of Hajj flights on Sunday (19 April), a further 5,756 pilgrims are scheduled to depart Dhaka on 14 flights, the Hajj Office said.
From early morning, a large number of pilgrims were seen gathering at the Ashkona Hajj Camp in the capital. As in previous years, immigration procedures for both Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia are being completed at the camp.
