Mahdi Amin praises Tarique Rahman’s leadership, simplicity

Prime Minister’s adviser and spokesperson Mahdi Amin on Saturday praised PM Tarique Rahman for his accountability, public engagement and simplicity in public life.

In a Facebook post, Mahdi Amin said Tarique Rahman, despite holding the country’s highest executive office with what he called an overwhelming public mandate, has remained closely connected to ordinary people.

He said the prime minister’s manner of speaking, movement and appearance reflect restraint and natural simplicity, which, according to him, sets him apart from conventional political leadership.

Mahdi Amin also said people in the country had long viewed prime ministers as distant figures surrounded by rigid protocol, but claimed Tarique Rahman had broken with that tradition by standing closer to citizens and engaging with their realities and concerns.

Referring to the premier’s personal life, he said, “Family remains an important source of strength and stability for Tarique Rahman, helping him remain deeply connected with public life.”

He also alleged that Tarique Rahman had faced years of propaganda and conspiracies, but said he had emerged stronger through political struggles and continued to draw inspiration from public trust and support.

Mahdi Amin further said, “The leadership of Tarique Rahman continues to shape the democratic aspirations of the country and the vision of building a prosperous and self-reliant nation under Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).”
