
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday said the desired Bangladesh could gradually be built if everyone performed their responsibilities properly from their respective positions.
“The current government is trying to make the country a better place,” he said while speaking at an Eid reunion programme organised by “Mrityunjoyi Ponchish” at Zia Colony in Dhaka Cantonment on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha.
The Prime Minister’s Press Wing disclosed the information.
Recalling memories of his childhood and life during his visit to the cantonment, Tarique Rahman said, “A large part of my life’s memories are connected with this place.”
After the programme, the prime minister exchanged Eid greetings with army personnel and inquired about the living conditions of soldiers staying at the army mess.
Later, he planted a neem sapling at the army mess premises and signed the visitors’ book.
Following Zuhr prayers at the mosque of the army mess, the prime minister again exchanged Eid greetings with army officers and members present there.
