Swiss Delegation Reaffirms Partnership with Nestlé Bangladesh

H.E. Mr. Markus Leitner, Head of the Asia-Pacific Division at the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led a high-level delegation to Nestlé Bangladesh PLC’s Sreepur factory on 1 June 2026, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Reto Renggli, Ambassador of Switzerland to Bangladesh, and other senior officials. The visit highlighted Nestlé Bangladesh’s contribution to the country’s industrial and economic development since 1994, particularly in advancing local capability, innovation and employment.

During the tour, the delegation commended Nestlé’s world-class manufacturing standards, with specific recognition of its Infant Formula operations, reflecting the company’s unwavering commitment to Swiss quality, safety and excellence. They noted that the Sreepur facility exemplifies how Swiss companies uphold global benchmarks while strengthening local manufacturing ecosystems.

Nestlé Bangladesh’s Creating Shared Value initiatives—focused on regenerative agriculture, nutrition and youth employability—currently impact over 20,000 families, driving inclusive and sustainable growth. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral ties and fostering continued investment and sustainable business growth in Bangladesh.
