Parents, son die from electrocution in Bishwambarpur

Sunamganj Correspondent : A man, his wife and their son died from electrocution in Sunamganj’s Bishwambarpur upazila on Monday afternoon, July 6.

The deceased were identified as Nurul Amin, 65, his wife Fatema Akter, 50, and their son Farhad Shah, 30, residents of Anantapur village in the upazila.

Police and locals said Nurul Amin and his son, Farhad, inadvertently came into contact with a live wire while repairing their grocery shop at their home. Fatema also came in contact with the wire when she tried to save them.

They were rushed to the Bishwambarpur Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared them dead.

Sujan Sarkar, additional superintendent (media) of police, Sunamganj, confirmed the incident.
