London, UK: State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock of the Government of Bangladesh and Member of Parliament for Tangail-5 (Sadar), Sultan Salahuddin Tuku, MP, received a warm welcome and floral reception from the Tangail District Association UK upon his arrival in the United Kingdom.
The association’s leaders were present at the airport to welcome Mr. Tuku and his family members, who accompanied him on his visit to the UK. Leaders of various social, cultural and community organisations from Tangail, along with prominent members of the community, were also present on the occasion.
Among those present were Acting President of Tangail District Association UK Ekhlasuzzaman Khan Tutul, General Secretary Saifur Rahman Titu, Joint General Secretary Shibli Shahid Khoshnobis, Executive Member No. 1 Syed Abdul Ahad Sabuj, Assistant General Secretary Kamrul Islam Saikat, Assistant General Secretary Zahirul Islam Raju, Kanak Khan, Rifat Mizan and Md Shahjahan.
Accepting the floral welcome, State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality extended by expatriate Bangladeshis from Tangail. He also expressed his willingness to meet and exchange views with members of the Tangail community in the UK during his stay.
Acting President of Tangail District Association UK Ekhlasuzzaman Khan Tutul said that, despite living abroad, the bond between expatriate Tangail residents and the people and soil of Tangail remains strong. He said the association would continue its efforts to promote unity, brotherhood, harmony and mutual cooperation, as well as social and community welfare activities.
At the conclusion of the reception, Acting President Ekhlasuzzaman Khan Tutul and General Secretary Saifur Rahman Titu expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to all executive members, leaders, members and well-wishers who attended the event.
On behalf of the association, best wishes were extended for the success of State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku’s visit to the United Kingdom. The association also expressed its hope of organising a meaningful meeting and exchange of views with the expatriate Tangail community in the near future.
