Dr. Zakir Khan has been accorded a reception in London

British-Bangladeshi community figure Dr. Zakir Khan was felicitated in London for receiving the National Bobby Moore Award. The Football Association (FA) presented Dr. Zakir Khan with the National Bobby Moore Award during the FA Community Shield match between Arsenal and Manchester City in the United Kingdom.
He was given this honor in recognition of his long-standing service to grassroots football, his important role in developing youth and engaging them in football. Dr. Zakir Khan received this prestigious award at a reception.
The reception was held at an upscale restaurant in East London on Friday (August 21).
It was presided over by prominent businessman Tofazzal Alam. The reception was conducted by former Tower Hamlets Council Speaker Ahbab Hossain.


The guest of honor at the meeting was Dr. Zakir Khan, who was congratulated by former Mayor of Brent Council, UK, Parvez Ahmed, former President of BBCCI, Bashir Ahmed BEM, former Speaker of Tower Hamlets Council Khalis uddin Ahmed. Councilman Mansur Ali, Former Principal Muhammed Shahed Rahman, former president of UK Bangla Reporters Unity -Professor Shajidur Rahman, general secretary Abdul Bashir, senior journalist Mostaq Babul, Parvez Qureshi, Principal Ashid Ali, MA Munim Chalik, prominent businessman Sabbir Karim, Moin Uddin Ansar, Ashiqur Rahman, Ashraf Gazi, footballer Siraj Uddin,
Jane Mia, poet-journalist Sajjad Hossain Nayan,
Former Dhaka Mohammedan footballers Abdul Wahid and Dipu Muhammad are among them.
The speakers at the meeting said – We as British Bangladeshis are delighted that British-Bangladeshi Dr. Zakir Khan has received this historic award in recognition of his 35-year contribution to advancing the youth of the Bangladeshi community in football.
The speakers also said that if there is honesty, dedication, discipline, perseverance and hard work, anyone can achieve such honor and success like Dr. Zakir Khan in the future. This will bring glory to the British Bangladeshi community.
In response to the reception, British-Bangladeshi personality Dr. Zakir Khan said in response that,
This achievement is not just his alone, but it belongs to the entire diaspora and local community.
He called on everyone to unite and work together for the welfare and service of the community.
