Moulvibazar correspondent : The National Citizen Party (NCP) has expelled two of its Moulvibazar leaders over “serious breaches of organisational discipline”.

The expelled leaders are Ehsan Zakaria, senior joint convener of the NCP’s Moulvibazar District Convener Committee, and Tamim Ahmed, former joint coordinator of the Moulvibazar District Coordination Committee.

The party announced the decisions in two separate statements posted on its official Facebook page last night. Sadia Farzana Dina, a member of the party’s office cell, signed the statements.

According to the statement, the party substantiated allegations against Ehsan Zakaria, prompting it to remove him from all positions and responsibilities, including his primary membership.

The decision was taken in accordance with the party’s constitution and disciplinary rules, following directives from NCP Convener Md Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, the statement said.

In a separate statement, the party said serious allegations of violating organisational discipline had been brought against Tamim Ahmed. Considering the gravity of the allegations and the interests of organisational discipline, the party expelled him from all party activities.

Tamim was also instructed not to participate in any party activities, the statement said.
Both decisions took immediate effect.
