Netflix orders Bridgerton spinoff centered on young Lady Violet

Netflix has ordered a new limited-series spinoff of Bridgerton, this time centered on a young Lady Violet, expanding the hit period drama’s universe.

Netflix and Shondaland announced the project on Thursday, confirming that the untitled series will explore the younger version of Lady Violet, a key character in the Bridgerton universe.

The new series does not yet have an official title and is currently being referred to as the “untitled Bridgerton project.”

The spinoff will follow a format similar to the previous Bridgerton spinoff, “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”, which explored the early life of Queen Charlotte and her relationship with King George III.

Netflix has yet to announce further details about the cast, storyline or release date of the new series.
