The funeral prayer of media personality Toufique Imroz Khalidi was held at the Brick Lane Jame Mosque in East London.
Bangladeshi journalist and media personality Toufique Imrose Khalidi died in London.
He died in London on October 2, 2026. His funeral prayer was held at Bricklane Jama Masjid in East London after the Zuhr prayers on Thursday, October 8.
The funeral was attended by Bengali-speaking journalists, media workers, politicians, cultural activists, and family members from Britain.
After the funeral, Commonwealth Journalists Association Vice President and veteran journalist Syed Nahas Pasha said, “Bangladeshi journalist and media personality Toufique Imroz Khalidi has created a unique chapter in the media.”
He was not only a journalist, but also a humane and pious person. As far as I know, after performing the holy Hajj, he brought with him a shroud, which he brought with him during his visit to London. When he suddenly fell ill in London, I myself took him to the hospital in an ambulance. He said goodbye forever. Today, wearing his own shroud, he said goodbye to us and left for the land of no return.
